How We Price

Service call: Starts at $75, which covers the trip and the first hour of labor for jobs within our standard service area.

$1.50 per mile mileage charge (waived for sites within 20 miles of Grundy Center, IA)

Hourly work: Most repairs are billed hourly. Hourly billing includes travel time to and from the site.

Fixed-scope jobs: Common jobs — gates, rail sections, standard trailer repairs — are often quoted as a flat price once we know the specs.

After-hours & emergency calls: Priority response during planting and harvest, or after standard hours, carries a premium — ask when you request your quote.

On-Site Estimates: For complex or custom jobs, we'll provide an on-site inspection and estimate for $50 prior to any work. This amount will be waived at completion of the project.
Estimates are based on the information available at the time of quoting. Unforeseen conditions (rust, hidden damage, material availability, etc.) may affect final time and cost.
We'll communicate with you before any charge exceeds 15% of your estimate.
